Combi boiler models differ by make and range. Here are the popular ones, what each costs fitted, and how the warranty and the price compare.

How to choose a combi boiler model

Brands sell several ranges at different prices. Entry ranges cost the least and come with shorter warranties, mid-range ranges are the usual choice, and premium ranges carry the longest warranties. Output matters as much as the make, so size the boiler to the number of bathrooms and radiators.

Every model page shows what it typically costs fitted, what moves the price and what a quote should include.

What to compare across combi boiler models

  • The warranty. A long warranty usually needs the boiler to be registered, fitted by an approved installer and serviced every year. Ask which of those your quote covers.
  • The output. A larger output costs a little more, but too small a boiler runs out of hot water when two taps are on. Ask for it to be sized to your home.
  • Fitted, not boiler-only. Retail prices are for the boiler alone. Compare quotes that include the fitting, the flue, the filter and the old boiler removal.
  • Other types. A combi is not right for every home. See boiler types for system, regular, electric and oil boilers.

A guide price only takes you so far. Local firms can price the work on your own home, and comparing a few quotes is the quickest way to see what is reasonable.
