Combi Boiler Information – Combi Boiler Pressure Problem

Combination boilers are a tankless system of heating water. It is a compact and highly efficient unit giving all the heating and hot water you need. The combination boiler heats water instantaneously as you use it and this can generate significant savings on your energy bills.

As well as financial savings, Combination Boilers can save space as it is a method of heating your water without the need of a water cistern, water cylinder and the connecting pipework. Instead the combination boiler can often be mounted on the wall of your kitchen. This is especially useful for owners of smaller homes. It is also very practical for dwellings that do not have a great deal of loft space e.g. bungalows, flats and apartments.

Other advantages include less risk of freezing and flooding from a tank that would be used in traditional water heating methods. Also as a combi supplies hot water at mains pressure, it gives you strong power showering without the need for a pump.

By using a combi, you not only save space, but also reduce hot water costs - which can account for up to 60% of a typical domestic fuel bill.

A condensing combi boiler is more efficient due to its ability to extract more heat from the flue gases normally lost to the environment through the flue system.

Energy Saving Tip: Have the chimney cleaned and inspected regularly and burn only fully dried hardwoods to produce the most heat output.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

New Government regulations (Part L) require that from the 1st of April 2005 all new boiler installations must be of the 'high efficiency' condensing type. There are very few exceptions to this law.
