What is a Combination Boiler?

A combi (or combination boiler) is a compact and highly efficient unit where all of the necessary units are housed in one unit (normally wall hung in the kitchen) giving all the heating and hot water you need, with significant savings on running and installation costs.

Why should I have one?

There are many benefits to installing a combination boiler in your home:

1. A Combination Boiler heats water directly from the cold mains as you use it. This means that there is no need for a water cistern (or tank) in the loft of your home. This will also eliminate the risk associated with having a tank, flooding and freezing. By only heating water as you need it you can greatly reduce your heating bills.
2. There is no hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard, no tank and none of the linking pipework so you save space. This is very useful for smaller homes that need to create more space and for homes where you wish to convert the loft into another room.
3. Combination Boilers supply hot water at mains pressure which often provides shower users with a great deal of power without the need for a pump. This is especially good because shows use a great deal less water than a bath would. This can save water and money.

Why Choose a Condensing Combination Boiler?

A condensing combi boiler is more efficient due to its ability to extract more heat from the flue gases normally lost to the environment through the flue system.
